Individualized Cancer Mapping: How can AI-based Digital Pathology and Spacial Proteomics Guide Precision Oncology
marzo 3 @ 5:00 pm

Resumen de la plática
The prognosis for late-stage cancer patients is often poor, as many do not respond well to immunotherapy, targeted therapies, or their combinations. Our case studies focus on patients with mid-to-late-stage aggressive tumors who underwent histological and proteogenomic profiling to determine the most effective treatment strategies. The analysis highlights the ongoing battle between tumor progression and the patient’s immune system.
We use high-resolution digital pathology and AI algorithms to perform phenotypic classification and single-cell sub-clonal analysis, identifying distinct sub-clones within primary tumors that exhibit significant heterogeneity, including cellular diversity and nuclear irregularities. Our analysis reveals histopathological signatures in tumor cells and their microenvironment, with aggressive and invasive characteristics in the primary tumor often mirrored in metastasis.
Our studies underscores the value of integrating proteogenomic profiling with digital pathology and artificial intelligence to predict optimal therapies for complex cancer diseases, demonstrating the transformative potential of Proteomics, guiding precision medicine in clinical oncology.
